First, the difference in function:
The main function of geotextile is reinforcement, reinforcement, reverse filtration, drainage and so on. The main function of geomembrane is to prevent seepage.
second, the material properties are different:
Geotextile is made of chemical fiber as raw material, and the finished product is cloth-like and permeable. The geomembrane is made of density polyethylene, impervious to water. Geotextile is a fiber cloth geotextile, widely used in roads, railways, water conservancy, large construction, power plant gray dam construction, non-ferrous metal tailings processing, environmental protection engineering, soil and water conservation.
third, Different ways of use:
Geomembrane is made of high-density polyethylene and is mainly used for seepage prevention, while geotextile is made of non-woven fabric and is mainly used for strengthening the foundation. Its impermeability mainly depends on the impermeability of the plastic film. The two can be used alone, or can be combined into a composite geomembrane. Enhanced anti-seepage performance is stronger.
